Gilbert out to help "Lions" roar

The following article was written by MTNFootball.com, and also featured in the Daily Times Nigeria before my game against MP Black Aces on the 19 May 2013:
With the Absa Premiership all but sealed, all eyes will be on the National First Division this weekend and Thanda Royal Zulu's Gordon Gilbert says the Lions will roar.
Thanda Royal Zulu will contest what is deemed as the ‘match of the weekend’ when they visit rivals Mpumalanga Black Aces at the Themba Senamela  Stadium on Sunday.
Aces lead the NFD log standings, separated by a point from Thanda, a draw will mean both sides will contest the promotional play-off should either Santos or Polokwane City win in their respective fixtures.
Well-travelled Gordon Gilbert says faith will determine the fate as he’s out to help AmaBhubesi back into the PSL.
“Firstly I'd like to say, coach Prof. (Mlungisi Ngubane) has done a great job in bringing Thanda to a position to contend for the title. Winning the NFD is no easy task and credit has to be given where it's due.” Said the former Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows star.
“We players are focused and have our minds set for the stage on Sunday.
“We know it’s not going to be easy, however we are not under any pressure other than to give our best. The favourites are the ones under pressure.
“Preparation has been fantastic, now it's all up our father God. It's in his hands. We will be ready.”
To the contrary, Aces were the last side the 30-year-old turned out for in the PSL, and gaining promotion with Thanda at Aces' expense spices the affair.
But Gilbert, who arrived in the country in 2005 from St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League, says emotions will be left aside.
“Well such is football. It's nothing personal but my loyalty lies with my new team Thanda.
“I have to put emotions aside and put it down to business. Be it straight to PSL or Play-Off’s, despite obviously we are fighting for first place, and we are ready.”
